Description

Like a flower pressed between the pages of an old letter, the Relic Bloom Ring feels like something discovered rather than newly made. A delicate five-petal bloom emerges from its dark enamel ground, framed by intricate vines that drape the sides of band. There is a beautiful tension between the softness of the flower and the solemnity of black enamel, a little piece of life preserved against the dark.

Flowers carried a rich language during the Victorian era, when a bloom could communicate what words sometimes could not. Floral motifs appeared throughout sentimental and mourning jewelry, where they could speak of love, remembrance, and the fleeting nature of life. Paired with black enamel, a material closely associated with Victorian mourning, the flower takes on an especially poignant meaning: something beautiful that remains, even after its season has passed.

As someone who has smaller-than-normal fingers and struggles to find rings that fit well, this ring comes close to fitting me perfectly. It still moves around a bit; however, it’s still a decent size overall. The design is immaculate. I love how intricate the detailing is on the sides. The material has a nice weight to it and shines beautifully. I will definitely be purchasing more from this company.
